Preclinical Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that operates on a continuous publication model, allowing accepted articles to be published immediately upon completion of the editorial and peer-review process. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research focused on the preclinical phase—the critical stage of biomedical investigation that precedes clinical application.

The journal welcomes contributions that advance knowledge across all areas of Basic Medical Sciences, including:

  • Anatomy

  • Physiology

  • Biochemistry

  • Molecular Biology

  • Cell Biology

  • Pathology

  • Microbiology

  • Immunology

  • Pharmacology

  • Toxicology

  • Genetics

  • Neuroscience

  • Parasitology

We also encourage interdisciplinary research that integrates these fields with biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, biomaterials, translational medicine, and regulatory science.

Accepted Articles include, but are not limited to:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Reviews

  • Method Development Studies

  • Case Reports

  • Short Communications

  • Commentaries

  • Perspective Articles

  • Letters to the Editor

  • Technical Notes

  • Protocol Papers

  • Data and Resource Papers

  • Systematic Reviews

Types of accepted research include:

  • In vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo experimental studies

  • Disease modeling and mechanistic studies

  • Early-stage drug discovery and pharmacological testing

  • Preclinical evaluation of medical devices and diagnostic tools

  • Biomarker identification and validation

  • Studies on safety, efficacy, and biocompatibility

Our mission is to accelerate scientific progress from bench to bedside by publishing rigorous, reproducible, and ethically sound research at the preclinical stage. Through continuous publication, we ensure timely dissemination of findings to the global scientific and medical community.
